Give everyone an award so it will look like we got better actors and better shows. MBC did it, of course we’re bound to see the same thing happening at this years KBS Drama Awards.
Though award shows were becoming quite a big yawn lately, KBS did offer something new– up and coming stars dancing to Wondergirls‘ Tell Me.
It’s hard to believe that Han Hyo Joo got awarded best dressed sometime ago. Here, she looks like a weird looking mushroom that grew out of nowhere. Not feeling this monochrome outfit at all. Would’ve like to have seen her in a long gown as she’s rarely seen in one.
Hunky Kang Ji Hwan looks sooo slick in his tuxedo even with his just-got-out-of-bed hair. But of course, we’d rather see him without anything on. He won the Excellence in a Mini Drama Award for Capital Scandal.
If you’re going to pose with someone on the red carpet, you are bound to get compared to, but what’s there to compare? Yoon Jung Hee and Shin Dong Mi look almost identical if not for their outfits. Same surgeon, perhaps?
Top Excellence in Acting winner Chae Rim wore a typical prom dress. If you give her fur, it would look exactly like Yoo Jung Hee (above).
Wouldn’t it be cool if Best New Actress winner Park Min Young’s dress were made of algae? At least she got the color down, it even weighed her down. The dress is not that bad, not that good either.
Best New Actress Lee Soo Kyung looks great but doesn’t offer anything new. It’s like we’ve seen this look before… maybe a hundred times already.
Best New Actor Kim Ji Hoon were just one of the eye candy for the ladies at the ceremony but that odd looking bow tie has got to go. And how many buttons does his suit have?
You got to give credit to Yoo In Young for turning a simple silver dress into something sexy and seductive. She is Kim Hye Soo in the making.
Choi Eun Suk gave a modern twist to the hanbok but she ended up looking like a table cloth, British-Japanese Eva Popiel and Lee Yoon Ji in another monochrome mini gone bad.
Lee Joo Hyun, Park Hae Jin won Excellence in a Daily Drama for High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth and Choi Soo Jung who while collecting his Daesang Award for Dae Jo Young, was brought down to tears. Aw.
Redcarpet Snobs!
Whatever their reason was, it’s such a shame not see them on the red carpet as most of them were the best dressed of the night.
Han Eun Jung looks like she just stepped out of a fairytale book in her Cinderella-like frock. Excellence in a Mini Drama winner Han Ji Min on the other hand, looks like she ditched her groom at the altar to collect her award. Speaking of bride and groom, beautiful Lee Tae Ran and hunky Ryu Soo Young could be mistaken as one.
Ha Ji Won is elegance personified, can’t believe she’s the same girl that flashed her panties in Sex is Zero.
Excellence in a Daily Drama winner Han Ji Hye was a no-show at the red carpet. Could it be because she just broke up with her arm accessory– boyfriend of three years Lee Dong Gun? Best Supporting Actress winner Han Go Eun were just one of the few ladies that wore black (even wore tights in an already looong dress), so as Sung Yuri who opt for a mini black dress.
After her short stint as a singer, Lee Da Hae tried her luck at hosting. She may be a horrible singer but the girl sure can dress! She also took home Excellence in a Mini Drama Award for Hello Miss!.
I don’t think Lee Dae Hae is a bad singer at all. She sang in My Girl & I think she’s a pretty good . Even Lee Dong Wook commented that Lee Dae Hae could sing in one of the “My Girl” interviews.
