Give everyone an award so it will look like we got better actors and better shows. MBC did it, of course we’re bound to see the same thing happening at this years KBS Drama Awards.

Though award shows were becoming quite a big yawn lately, KBS did offer something new– up and coming stars dancing to Wondergirls‘ Tell Me.

It’s hard to believe that Han Hyo Joo got awarded best dressed sometime ago. Here, she looks like a weird looking mushroom that grew out of nowhere. Not feeling this monochrome outfit at all. Would’ve like to have seen her in a long gown as she’s rarely seen in one.

Hunky Kang Ji Hwan looks sooo slick in his tuxedo even with his just-got-out-of-bed hair. But of course, we’d rather see him without anything on. He won the Excellence in a Mini Drama Award for Capital Scandal.

If you’re going to pose with someone on the red carpet, you are bound to get compared to, but what’s there to compare? Yoon Jung Hee and Shin Dong Mi look almost identical if not for their outfits. Same surgeon, perhaps?

Top Excellence in Acting winner Chae Rim wore a typical prom dress. If you give her fur, it would look exactly like Yoo Jung Hee (above).

Wouldn’t it be cool if Best New Actress winner Park Min Young’s dress were made of algae? At least she got the color down, it even weighed her down. The dress is not that bad, not that good either.

Best New Actress Lee Soo Kyung looks great but doesn’t offer anything new. It’s like we’ve seen this look before… maybe a hundred times already.

Best New Actor Kim Ji Hoon were just one of the eye candy for the ladies at the ceremony but that odd looking bow tie has got to go. And how many buttons does his suit have?

You got to give credit to Yoo In Young for turning a simple silver dress into something sexy and seductive. She is Kim Hye Soo in the making.

Choi Eun Suk gave a modern twist to the hanbok but she ended up looking like a table cloth, British-Japanese Eva Popiel and Lee Yoon Ji in another monochrome mini gone bad.

Lee Joo Hyun, Park Hae Jin won Excellence in a Daily Drama for High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth and Choi Soo Jung who while collecting his Daesang Award for Dae Jo Young, was brought down to tears. Aw.

Whatever their reason was, it’s such a shame not see them on the red carpet as most of them were the best dressed of the night.

Han Eun Jung looks like she just stepped out of a fairytale book in her Cinderella-like frock. Excellence in a Mini Drama winner Han Ji Min on the other hand, looks like she ditched her groom at the altar to collect her award. Speaking of bride and groom, beautiful Lee Tae Ran and hunky Ryu Soo Young could be mistaken as one.

Ha Ji Won is elegance personified, can’t believe she’s the same girl that flashed her panties in Sex is Zero.

Excellence in a Daily Drama winner Han Ji Hye was a no-show at the red carpet. Could it be because she just broke up with her arm accessory– boyfriend of three years Lee Dong Gun? Best Supporting Actress winner Han Go Eun were just one of the few ladies that wore black (even wore tights in an already looong dress), so as Sung Yuri who opt for a mini black dress.

After her short stint as a singer, Lee Da Hae tried her luck at hosting. She may be a horrible singer but the girl sure can dress! She also took home Excellence in a Mini Drama Award for Hello Miss!.

Almost everyone didn’t come home empty handed at this years MBC Drama Awards. Not only did they gave awards to two people in one category, but they also have awards such as ‘Top Excellence in Acting’ and ‘Excellence in Acting’ where the difference is almost hard to recognize.

They even created new categories, just so they could give something to people that deserves a reward. I thought having winners and losers are the logic of award shows. But not at MBC, where everyone’s a sure winner. Check out the winners at the ceremony.

As if the Yonsama would come home empty handed. His presence alone would make the MBC bosses weak in the knees if he didn’t get something. As expected, Bae Young Jun won the daesang– and a couple others.

Top Excellence in Acting Award winner Gong Hyo Jin wasn’t much on the top excellence form in this pink meringue-like outfit. Though the chiffon looks nice and cute, this is a bit boring for a fashion risk-taker like her, even her poses are awkward.

Men have it easy when it comes to award shows or any ceremonies. All they need is a tie, suit, pants and they’re all set but Joo Ji Hoon wanted to add a dead animal to the mix.

From the waist up you’d probably think, ‘Oh great… another boring white number’ but from the waist down, Yoon Eun Hye is actually sporting something out of the norm. The Top Excellence in Acting winner should’ve ditched that hair weave, this would’ve look much better with a pixie like hairstyle.

This eye candy will be leaving us soon and this is probably his last red carpet appearance before he disappears to the army. Gong Yoo won the Excellence in Acting Award for his role in Coffee Prince.

Did he gain weight or this suit is just a wee bit too big for him? Lee Jun Ki won the Excellence in Acting Award for his role in Time Between Dog and Wolf.

Oh dear! Will someone please tell Park Shin Hye that there’s a way to achieve old vintage glamour without looking like she purchased all the pieces from a Red Cross second hand shop.

Excellence in Acting winner Nam Sang Mi should share her stylist with Park Shin Hye. Not only did she learn how to dress her age, she’s also one of the best dressed that night. Next up on her list: Learn to pose.

Thank You star Jang Hyuk was all smiles at the event not only because he will soon be a father and a husband, but also because despite loosing the Top Excellence in Acting Award, he took home the Golden Acting Award in a Mini Drama.

Best New Actress Lee Ji Ah designed this dress herself. She must’ve been in such a hurry that she forgot to sew the last strand of thread… but she decided to wrap it around her finger to make it look like an accessory. Strange. Horrible shoes.

Golden Acting Award in a Serial Drama winner, Lee Yoon Ji looks like she got strangled with a bunch of dirty curtains and turned it into a dress.

The 6th Korean Film Awards looks a bit more laid back and dull than the Blue Dragon, but the red carpet was still packed with celebrities.

As expected, the Secret Sunshine duo bagged the top acting awards while new acting awards were given to My Father’s Daniel Henney and Hwang Jin Yi’s Song Hye Gyo. But who’s the real winner on the red carpet? Check it out.

Unlike that pink prom dress she wore at the Blue Dragon, Best Actress winner Jeon Do Yeon got it right this time. The color, the hair, the neckline… definetely a winner. She’s with Best Director and Best Actor winners Lee Chang Dong and Song Kang Ho.

Best Actress nominee Kim Ah Jung surely loves her Ralph Lauren dresses. She completes this strapless monochrome look with minimal make up and understated hair.

How many cocktail dresses does Kim Tae Hee have? She probably purchased the whole Jill Stuart collection. Not sure if this is Jill Stuart and she looks good but it shortens her already petite frame especially next to Sul Kyung Gu.

This is definetely Donna Karen from the Fall 2007 Collection. MC Song Yoon Ah must’ve been inspired to wear one after seeing Son Ye Jin looking gorgeous in one at the Blue Dragon. This one, I’m not too sure.

Best red carpet couple of the night goes to Tazza co-stars Cho Seung Woo and Kim Hye Soo. Actually it goes to Kim Hye Soo and her notable twins, busting out in this black Ralph Lauren. The woman just oozes sex appeal without even trying.

I’m not too sure about Best Actor nominee Joo Jin Moo. Sure the guy is hot but he seriously needs to get a stylist. First the fur collar at the Blue Dragon, now this shiny suit.

Best New Actor Daniel Henney got rid of that boyish bowl cut and returned to his sleek hairstyle… if only he picked a different colored suit.

We’ve seen this Greecian-inspired look numerous times, this time Lee Yeon Hee in purple. She’s very beautiful no doubt but its obvious that she played it safe here and that’s a big yawn.

The red carpet is usually to check out what she wears but you can’t help but look at Jo In Sung in a perfectly classic tailored suit and slick hairstyle.

Jung Il Woo should ask the guy above for fashion advice and not experiment with garbage bags.

Ji Hyun Woo looks hot but that thing around him looks ridiculous. He wanted to stand out with this fashion statement but he stood out in a wrong way.

Jang Geun Suk, despite his obvious make-up, is out of the traditional black-white tuxedo and still managed look presentable. Lovin the hat.

We all know about Han Chae Young’s well-endowed bust and she needed the slimming effects of the color black to take the attention away from it. It’s also a great color to hide baby bumps.

The originial one-armed Michael Kors gown had glitters all over it, but Lee Ha Na ditched all that sparkle and opt for a head piece instead. Not everyone’s taste but she looks great in it and have the attitude to pull this kind of look.

Son Ye Jin (seen here with Kim Myung Min) looks like she’s wearing the same Dolce & Gabbana dress that Madonna wore at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. While Madge opt for satin, Son Ye Jin went with lace giving off a sexy and naughty vibe. She always gets her hair wrong.

Hyun Young is not ‘going sexy baaah’ in this boring dress. She’s one of the few that I’m relying on to take risks at red carpet events. This one is a let down, this is too soft for her and she’s trying so hard to look cute.

The ‘We Need To Sack Our Stylist’ Award goes to: Jo Eun Ji, Jun Hye Jin and Lee Young Eun.

Out of this world: Andre Kim, Choi Min Soo and Jo Won Suk.

Black can be worn all year long and celebrity after celebrity have milked this color at every fashion shows, award ceremonies or red carpet events. It is usually seen paired with an equally over used item of clothing– tights! The Blumarine 2008 Summer / Spring Collection Fashion Show is no exception.

Kim Jung Hwa looking beautiful as ever. The funky black-grey-white geometric patterns on her skirt adds a bit of spunk but she looks too sweet for it. She needs the attitude and the right footwear.

Fashionista Kang Sung Yeon adds a bit of old Hollywood glamour to her look with a dark green fur. Hopefully its faux.

Newly single Son Tae Young kept herself warm and cosy now that she doesn’t have ex boyfriend Cool K to do it for her. She probably thought wearing a gigantic scarf would take the attention off the ugly layers of clothing she had on and those hideous pair of boots.

Kim Hyo Jin got some mad awkward poses. She doesn’t look too happy either. Maybe she just needs boyfriend Yoo Ji Tae by her side.

Kim Jung Eun has had her fair share of great outfits… but this isn’t one of them. The hairstyle, the neckline and the sleeves multiplied her age by a hundred. Not feeling the gift wrap on her shoes either.

I love the texture of Uhm Ji Won’s dress but the style is rather boring. The red peep-toe heels would’ve stood out more if she ditched those black leggings.

At first glance it looks like Best Actress nominee Im Soo Jung just hired Morticia Addams as her new stylist but surprisingly, she looks elegant in this simple, black turtle-neck dress paired with huge chandelier earrings and a diamond ring.

Yes, she’s a wife and a mother but that doesn’t mean Best Actress nominee Lee Yo Won should start dressing as one. This beige dress does nothing to her.

That’s why Park Si Yeon was covering her boobs at the MKMF. The Best Supporting Actress nominee looks like she have weapons of mass destruction hidden under her breasts. She’s busting out of this Gucci frock plus the puffed sleaves are making her shoulders too wide and head too small.

Best New Actress Jung Ryeo Won wore an interesting plum colored frock. There’s something about it that is very edgy even if her clutch and the reptile-skin part of the dress are color vomit. It would look ridiculous on others but she have the attitude to pull it off.

Why is Best New Actor Daniel Henney’s hair like this? Is it his attempt to look boyish? It’s not working.

Yoon Kye Sang’s pants are way too high. Meanwhile, add a waist band on Kim Ha Neul’s purple cocktail and it will look exactly like Kim Tae Hee’s.. only in different color.

What a schmexy pair. Kim Kang Woo looks handsome and sleek while Kim So Yeon doesn’t look as slutty compare to her white Bluemarine dress at the Pusan Int’l Film Fest.

Doesn’t model turned actor Joo Ji Hoon looks a bit frail and thin? Would a slight gust of wind knock him down?

Son Ye Jin looks great in this silk charmeuse Donna Karen, the only criticism is her boring hairstyle. It’s clashing with the asymmetrical neckline, making her head look smaller.

Here comes the bride… Han Ye Sul looks gorgeous but its a wrong dress for this event, especially if she’s standing next to Lee Jung Hyuk. Plus, it looks like a longer and wilder version of that cute white number she wore at Baeksang Awards.

I’m very surprised that the queen of cleavage herself, Kim Hye Soo had her well endowed assets all covered up in this Bluemarine chiffon frock. It’s very refreshing actually.

Korea’s biggest and most anticipated music event of the year, the 2007 Mnet KM Music Festival kicked off with a drag, last night at Jamsil Olympic Stadium.

A lot of top stars attended, performed, presented and accepted their awards. But most of the big names were no where to be seen including DBSK, BoA and Hyori. Even Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo and Shin Hye Sung who were expected to attend were a no-show and fans aren’t happy. Check out those who did showed up.

To start off the event, they hired a drag queen. Oh wait, that’s actor Jang Geun Suk.

The longest performance of the night came from Mr. I’m-going-to-liberalize-sex himself– JYP. But for a minute there I thought he was part of Jang Geun Suk’s drag queen act.

Why listen to her voice when you can look at her body? Lee Da Hae wasn’t content on just hosting so she untangled herself from her yellow dress-slash-hoodie and showed off her drums and (lack of) singing skills.

Former Jewelry member Seo In Young was the stripper of the night.

Four girls from Korea’s top female groups went head to head in a lame dance battle– all four just kept grinding and rubbing themselves against Kim Bum. It looked like he enjoyed it.

No surprises here. Younha won Best New Solo Artist. Maybe now she can afford a best new stylist.

As expected, Super Junior didn’t go home empty handed. Even if they didn’t win Artist of The Year (which they have), the Elves probably spent their entire allowance to download “Don’t Don” so they could win the Popular Mobile Song. They also won the Netizens Popularity Award. Duh!

Epik High went home with Best Hip Hop Group and Album of the Year for “Remapping the Human Soul”. If only they won another one, they could have one each.

Yes, tough guys get emotional too! Who wouldn’t get all wimpy after winning two top awards? Big Bang won Best Male Group and Song of The Year for “Lies”.

Best New Male Group winners and fur loving band, FT Island was glad to hear that there weren’t any PETA protestors at the event. They also won MNet.com Award.

The world gone mad, you get an award for skipping school. Oh wait, that’s just Wonder Girls in their usual uniform outfits. They recieved the award for Best New Female Group.

Best R&B/Soul Group winners SG Wannabe.

Clazziquai’s Alex and Horan accepted both Best House/Electronic Group and Best Mixed Group Award.

Best Rock Group for Cherry Filter.

Err.. Jung Il Woo and Baek Sung Hyun are not musicians but they still won something. They recieved the Best MV Actors for “Goodbye Sadness”.

Meanwhile, Dynamic Duo recieved the Best MV Screenplay for “Attendance Check”. I didn’t know there’s such an award.

It has been a long journey for this nuna-loving balladeer. Lee Seung Gi embraced presenter Park Kyung Rim as he recieved the award for Best Male Solo for his song “White Lie”.

HaHa presented the Best Ballad Song to Yangpa for “Love, What Is That?”

No, Soh Nyu Si Dae members were not jumping because they won something, all 9 members came home empty handed. Of course, they just debuted. There’s always next year girls.

No nomination? Can’t sing? Why not present an award?

Ahn Hye Kyung with Taiwanese star Joe Cheng did just that, also actors Kim Kang Woo, Kim Min Sun and Park Jin Hee.

Last years host, Kim Ok Bin knows that you can’t go wrong in a mini red. She presented an award with Over the Rainbow co-star Ji Hyun Woo.

Hey Jang Geun Suk, there’s a dead animal on your neck! He accepted the award for Best Female Solo Artist on Ivy’s behalf while Park Si Ho and Choi Jung Won presented an award.

Han Sang Jin and HaHa presented awards with models Song Kyung Ah and Jang Yoon Joo.

Nice to see someone who’s not all flesh and bones, but this is the wrong outfit for Solbi.

Whether its for a photoshoot, film festivals, fashion shows, Beyonce concert or even presenting awards– expect to see BFF Woori and Min Hyo Rin together.
